Undertaking the Technical Directorate and Secretariat for the Irish Timber Growers Association (ITGA).
The Irish Timber Growers Association is the national representative body of private woodland owners in Ireland. CFS provides advice and information services to the Association and its membership.

Project management of the annual Forestry & Timber Yearbook which is now in its 23rd edition and which is the recognised industry Directory and source of forestry reference information and statistics.

CFS also compiles, edits and manages the production of regular ITGA Newsletters.

CFS manages the content of the websites www.forestryyearbook.ie, www.forestry.ie and www.itga.ie

General Projects – Past & Present...

The company manages a considerable number of forestry projects from work on management plans to thinning and timber sales, reforestation, reconstitution of forests and woodland improvement.

CFS is also involved in a number of projects for the private sector including:

• Ongoing management of forest areas
• Valuation of forest properties and timber sales
• CFS undertook the organisation and project management of the ITGA Conference Centre at the 2011 Irish Forestry, Woodland and Bio energy show
• Establishing Thinning Groups in the South East
• the Development of a Secure Timber Sales System for timber growers for ITGA
• the ITGA Private Roundwood Price Database

Former Minister of State for Forestry, Seán Connick, TD, launching the Irish Timber Growers Association (ITGA) Timber Sales Dispatch System last year which is aimed at private timber growers. The management, accounting and security of timber sales from the forest to the sawmill or other end users is an important issue for both timber buyers and sellers. CFS project managed the development, field testing and implementation and roll out of the system for the Irish Timber Growers Association.
